Last Refuge Ltd took the plunge into the world of publishing in 2004. The advances in computers and software made a long held dream possible. It was a decision also driven by the harsh economics of the industry and the desire to be in charge of our own destiny. We were interested in all the different tasks and skills required for publishing – from conception of an idea to the design, layout and final printing. The financial risk was worth it but the key to the new enterprise was to find a distributor willing to take us on. We were lucky to be able to form an association with PGUK who ensure our titles end up on the shelves of major bookstores.
