FROG ON WATER LILY, Akagera,
Rwanda, 1987
|
|
The frog relies on camouflage
as it waits in ambush for its insect prey to visit the lily flower,
so it stayed completely still while the photograph was taken. It was
found while in the swamps of the Akagera, in Rwanda, looking for Sitatungas,
shy antelopes that live on floating mats of vegetation. I was filming
for a 3-part BBC series on Africa's Rift valley.
