ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL

The Royal Festival Hall is situated on the south bank of the Thames between Hungerford and Waterloo Bridges. Part of the South Bank cultural complex, the Festival Hall was designed by Robert Matthew and Leslie Martin and was originally built for the Festival of Britain in 1951. The Festival Hall was one of the first concert halls in the world to be built using the application of scientific principles to acoustic behaviour in its original design.
